Well, it's official: My muse has bitten me in the bum & won't let go. I just finished a series of drawings last night, re-drew several old pieces to reflect my updated skills, & have been egged on by my friends to start going through maybe commissioning my designs for people.

I don't know. I don't think my designs are at all up to someone actually making something from them. But, I keep getting razzed by one friend in particular (Timbertoes, you know who the hell you are!) to do something professionally, quote unquote.

Honestly, I have no idea how to go about doing that, & I'm not sure I even want to at this point... I'd like to maybe work on a few things before I "go public", as it were.

Maybe you guys would give me pointers? Suggestions? I'm kinda clueless when it comes to doing something along these lines.

Well, it had officially been about a month since I started moving from one condo to a new one... and I still am not finished with it all. We have maybe 2 big pieces of furniture left to move out, then it's all the little things that should either be thrown out or burnt to a crisp for sanitary reasons, LOL!

After 3 days of 100+ temps, we actually got RAIN today!! It's been cloudy & stormy all day, & just over an hour ago, we started getting rain! Yay! If I wasn't working in a stuffy office (with no A/C for the past 4 days, mind you!)... I would so totally be running outside like a maniac!

Lav, Jeff... you guys totally suck! I have the bug to draw SpyMistress character designs now! I posted the first one I drew last night. She took me 30 minutes, start to finish, and those are Sharpies I colored her with! Sharpies! Who knew?!

Lav, to answer your question... I use a combination of really REALLY old dot matrix printer paper (y'know the stuff with the ribbons of holes on both sides? Yeah, my mom gave me a HUGE box of that stuff when she was cleaning out her shed. My daughter & I have been sharing! ...) I mean, it's so old, it's not white... it's kinda ivory colored now. LOL! Also, I have a few pads of Mead Academie paper that I use. Other than that... *whispers* I use copy paper from work. SHHHH!! Don't tell my dad/boss!!

Moving. During the summer. In Arizona. What MORE could a gal ask for?

Good news is: I'm only moving downstairs & we have an elevator to make things go by quickly. And, it's a bigger place. So, that's a good thing.

I'm just so doggone tired! 8-10 hours at work, then I come home to about 3 hours of moving things from one condo to another... GAHH!!

I may not be getting anything new in for about a week or two, depending on how quickly I can get the mess of the moving straightened up. I am still drawing & coloring... just not as much as I was. My muse hasn't left me (yet!), he just has to be pushed aside for a little bit until I can sit down & think clearly enough to draw again.

On a high note, I am getting ideas for designs. One set is going to finish up my elemental series. One is going to be seasons. One is going to be totally Renaissance/Elizabethan ballgowns & fun masquerade dresses. (I'm lovin' that idea, even as I speak! ^.^) And yet another is going to be based off of my interpretations of the gods of ancient myths. I may continue doing some of my fairies, but that hasn't shown up to be very inspiring right now. Any other genres you guys can think of, gimme a shot back to my journal & I'll see what I can do with it.

I decided to redo the gallery a bit. Using the spiffy new menu/folder system that DA has integrated, I have officially separated most of my drawings by category.

Nothing has been taken out, although a few designs that I have colored & are happy with may have the B&W versions sent over to scraps. But that's just the way I separate things to know that I've done them & avoid OVER doing things.

Oh yeah! Happy Hump Day Everybody!!

Well, I totally depressed myself yesterday when in a rare moment of free time at work, I decided to go online & look for Letraset markers.

Oh I found them alright! At the whopping price of 320.00 for the whole set I want. And that's just for the ProMarkers! The Trias are *gulps* $2500.00!! *dies* Eep! Why is is so much?! And why can't I have a sugar daddy to buy them for me?!

So, I'm asking all you guys who like me (bats eyelashes sweetly) to keep an ear to the ground, so to speak, if you can help me find a place that may sell them retail, wholesale, discounted, whatever, I'd greatly appreciate that heads up.

On another note, my weekends are now mine again, as the Arizona Renaissance Festival is finally over. The first weekend I am simply going to pack all my garb & funstuffs away & RECLAIM MY HOUSE! After that, maybe I'll be able to do more drawings &/or marker pieces to make up for the desolate lack of drawings for so long, LOL.
