...and soon it will be the Eve of the Ancestors. A time to honor those who no longer walk amongst us, praise their deeds, feed their hungry souls, and light their way to our tables and back until time for them to return to the Underworld.

I plan on going ghost hunting for the next weekend or two before Samhain, just to see what I can catch... if I get anything good, I'll probably post them here for you all to see. Just hope I can catch the elusive buggers as they flit about.

Something funny happened last night while I was eating late night pie and hot tea with my friends at the Village Inn on Dobson and Southern... the red light camera started flashing erratically, although there were no cars moving in the crossroads at all. I'd love to call the city to see if they caught like a ghostly stagecoach or something on film! About 15 minutes after the erratic flashing of the cameras, I saw a white figure pass by my window... but when I did a double take, there wasn't anything there. OoooOOOooo.... spooky!

I love this time of year. I made a "New Year's Resolution" last Samhain and well, didn't QUITE make it to 75 lbs weight loss... just 48lbs. So, I plan on setting yet another Samhain Resolution of losing another 75 lbs in hopes that I'll just lose another 48 for next year!

This year though, I won't be alone. I will have a newfound family to be there with me, which is probably the most heartwarming feeling I have had in a long time. Without these newfound friends and family in all but blood, I don't think I would have continued on with my drawing or designing... or even my writing.

You guys know who you are... and thank you all for helping me come out of my shell, be more sociable, less judgemental, and happier than I have been with friends since before High School.

Okay enough gushiness from me. Just wanted to update the journal and give you all a glimpse into what has been my life for the past few weeks! Huggles to all you peoples!
